Six Students Participate in Student Augustinian Values Institute

Posted April 20th, 2017

Six St. Augustine Prep students including: Salvatore Carfagno (’18) Arjun Mathur (’18), Anthony Neri (’18), Nicholas Mahon (’19), Ryan Petrie (’19), and Antonio Talotta (’19) participated in the Student Augustinian Values Institute (SAVI).

This year’s SAVI took place April 6th trough 9th at Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox, IL. SAVI was created in 2010 to help students understand the meaning and reasons behind the Augustinian vision. In addition it allows students to see, explore, and apply the Augustinian core values of Veritas, Unitas and Caritas. while also developing enthusiasm, dedication and a common purpose amongst the Augustinian schools.

Over 50 students represented the eight Augustinian schools for the three day experience of faith, friendship, and service. The time spent together helped the students to find ways to live and promote the core Augustinian values.

Each year the students are tasked with creating a video to show off their school’s facilities, students and faith.
