Spanish III Class Authors Books for Camden Elementary School

Ms. Vogelsong’s Spanish III classes prepared original storybooks covering Spanish speaking countries. Students selected a country and then researched various thematic topics covered in class such as national parks, education, the arts, music, its people and their traditions.  The students then brought their bound books to Holy Name Elementary School in Camden to read and teach kindergarten and 1st graders about their country. The  first read-through the students read in Spanish for a verbal practice, and then they read the books again, this time in English.  The students also enjoyed conversing with the children who spoke Spanish. The books will be autographed by the student authors and provided to Holy Name Elementary as children resource books. Watch students read to the elementary children below.
