Posted January 6th, 2015
St. Augustine Prep recently received an award for being the group who has served the Cathedral Kitchen in Camden for the longest time – 25 years. A project of the junior class at St. Augustine Preparatory School in Richland, the students volunteer at the Cathedral Kitchen on average once a week.
“We are thrilled to recognize Brother Dave and the hundreds of students he has brought to volunteer at the Kitchen over the last 25 years,” said Karen Talarico, Executive Director of Cathedral Kitchen. “It’s an amazing record! We serve an average of 325 meals each day, so just imagine how many meals those hundreds of young men have served as part of their volunteer efforts. We love Brother Dave and the Prep students!”
Cathedral Kitchen was started in 1976 by Camden’s Auxiliary Bishop James L. Schad.
