Student Caritas Project Honors Fallen Prep Soldier

Posted May 24th, 2013

For their Caritas project, Francis Kevin Ryan (Class of 2014) and Nick Brown (Class of 2014) chose to honor the service men and women who make the ultimate sacrifice for this country, with one particular individual in mind.

The juniors volunteered at the AMVETS Post 77 in Mantua, helping the veterans make improvements on the property and preparing the space for Armed Forces day on May 18. They also purchased and dedicated an inscribed paver in honor of Sal Corma (Class of 2004), a Prep graduated who gave his life for his country in Afghanistan on April 29, 2010. Corma’s mother, Trudy, was present when the students dedicate the paver to the fallen 1st Lieutenant.
