Student Completes Summer Internship Program in Prosecutors Office

St. Augustine Prep student Grant Schoenfeldt (Class of 2015) recently had the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge of our legal system through his successful completion of the Gloucester County Prosecutors Office Summer Internship Program. The experience provided him exposure to a challenging two week course of law enforcement instruction at the Gloucester County Police Academy which included physical fitness, military drill, firearms and unarmed defense training.  He had the opportunity to travel to Philadelphia, New York City, and throughout South Jersey visiting correctional institutions, museums, a trauma center, a communications center, and the fire academy to enhance his understanding of various aspects of the criminal justice system. The final two weeks focused on observing court room proceedings and participating in a mock trial in which Grant served as a Defense Attorney.
