Posted March 23rd, 2015
After a month of lunchtime competitions, and with 21 teams vying for the cup, the Patches O’Houlihan Cup was presented to the tournament’s winners on Tuesday, March 17th.
E Lunch champions, Team Steve Riggins, defeated D Lunch champions, Team It, earning the opportunity to compete against the illustrious faculty team. After an intense 3 round battle, Team Steve Riggins defeated the faculty team in the final of this year’s Environmental Club-sponsored annual dodgeball tournament. Team Steve Riggins will advance to compete in the “Babes in Dodgeball” charity event at Rutgers Camden in April.
The tournament raised $462.00 for the Environmental Club with proceeds being used to fund the Arts in Earth Day competition and to support the Canuso Foundation’s Babes in Dodgeball event.
Special thanks to club member Ethan Davis for his gorgeous computer generated bracket and for securing the newest addition to our tradition – the Patches O’Houlihan Cup.
Team Steve Riggins’ roster was comprised of seniors – Chase Williams, Mike Ritter, Geroge Steffa, Mike Toner, Allan Weidman, and Pat Yacovelli.
Team It’s roster was comprised of sophomores – Jake Catalano, Paul Meduri, Greg Elfreth, Eddie Hengy, Nick Amechi, Tim Jurassic, and Justyn Mutts.
