Students Work with Habitat for Humanity in the Appalachian Mountains

Posted June 15th, 2015

On Sunday, May 24th, a group of 18 Prep students left to spend a week to work with Habitat for Humanity in the Appalachian Mountains. They were led by Mr. Boston, Mr. Broomell, Mrs. Bauer, and Mrs. Newnam. The students worked hard, learning how to replace a roof, construct a deck, and finish trim work for a new Habitat home. During this time, the group was able to visit Virginia Tech and James Madison University, and even had time for fun, as they concluded their week with an afternoon of whitewater rafting in Harpers Ferry.
