Three Hermit Wrestlers Advance to State Finals

This past weekend, three members of the Prep wrestling team advanced to the State finals with outstanding performances in the Region 8 tournament. Senior Joe Esposito (138 pounds) won his first regional championship in his career, while senior Mark Patterson (152) and junior Tom Gattinella (113) each finished second in his weight class. Patterson notched his 100th career win with his victory in the semi-final round.
The three wrestlers will compete for individual honors at the State Championship Tournament to be held the weekend of March 2-4 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
