Two More Lacrosse Players Commit to D-I Schools
Posted October 4th, 2013
Two members of the Class of 2015, Ernie Alvino and John Fox, recently committed to play Division I lacrosse at the collegiate level. Alvino, a goalie, will continue his academic and athletic career at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, while Fox, a midfielder, has accepted an athletic scholarship to Fairfield University in Connecticut, where he plans to study at the Dolan School of Business.
The two juniors join four of their classmates and four Prep seniors who have already committed to play at the highest level of collegiate lacrosse. The other juniors are James Kitchen (Hofstra University), Nick DiCaprio (University of Michigan), and Chase Young and Joe Eisele (University of Delaware). The seniors are Dean DiSimone (University of Delaware), Aaron Denesevich (Wagner College), Will Fox (Fairfield University) and Bryce Young (University of Maryland). Current sophomore Jared Chiachetti has also committed to the University of Maryland.
Having at least eleven future collegiate lacrosse players on the team makes the Prep one of the premier teams in New Jersey. Much of the credit for the success of the team and its players belongs to head coach J.C. Valore, who has guided the team since 2005. Mr. Valore is a faculty member of the History Department at the Prep.
