Veritas Program “Battling Adversity to Change the World” – Campus Book (Basketball Junkie: A Memoir)

Our Veritas speaker this year will be Chris Herren. He is a former NBA player and the author of the book Basketball Junkie: A Memoir (ISBN Number – 9781250006899). Our Theology department, led by Fr. Devlin, is coordinating this program. The freshmen and sophomores have been reading this book for the past two weeks and will take a test on the book this Friday during their F period class. The juniors and seniors will receive the book on Friday. They will be tested on November 5 or 6. We invite everyone in our community – board members, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni – to read this book and join us on November 7 for Chris Herren’s presentation. We are very excited to have him on campus and look forward to hearing his message. More details, including time of event, will appear in a future edition of Prep Talk.
