Senior Greyson Sapio has joined the long list of Hermit students who work towards the rank of Eagle Scout. As with every Boy Scout who works towards this honor, he was tasked with planning, developing, and leading a service project otherwise known as the Eagle Project. In wanting to make our school campus better for all his Hermit Brothers and as a commitment to the Prep community, Greyson decided to build a beach volleyball court on the St. Augustine Prep campus. By selecting a beach volleyball court as his project, he saw it as a way to leave his mark on the school campus and would give him the opportunity to make an everlasting impact on the Hermit Brotherhood. Greyson had to carefully prepare the location behind Augustian Hall. This location was picked for its proximity to campus without being obtrusive to the main campus. The planning portion of the project Greyson realized was most challenging. Working with facilities to plan materials and coordinating construction equipment were new concepts as well as fundraising.
