The Prep Bids Farewell to Fr. Ron

Posted March 23rd, 2012

On Wednesday, March 21, Fr. Ron Hamaday, OSA, celebrated his final Mass as a faculty member at St. Augustine Prep. After 15 years of dedicated service to the Prep, Fr. Ron is stepping down due to medical reasons effective Friday, March 30. He announced his departure at the community Mass the previous week, Wednesday, March 14. Fr. Ron will be re-locating to the monastery at Villanova for rehabilitation during the Easter week. When the Mass was over, Fr. Ron thanked the faculty and students present there and was treated to a rousing ovation from the students. It was at this time that his impact on the lives of the students that he taught became apparent. The message from the student body was loud and clear: “Thank you, Fr. Ron.”
