College Credit Opportunities
St. Augustine Prep offers students a rigorous curriculum that includes an Advanced Placement (AP) and Dual Credit (DC) Program to prepare our students for the top colleges and universities in the United States. Teachers design their own AP courses within guidelines set by either the College Board or the host college to ensure standards for college-level instruction are met.
Advanced Placement
The AP Program, sponsored by the College Board, enables willing and academically prepared students to pursue college-level studies while in high school. Enrollment in these classes requires a student to meet course prerequisites as outlined in the Course Catalog as well as taking the Advanced Placement test administered by the College Board in May, or a teacher-generated equivalent exam at the end of the course.
College credits as a result of the AP test are based on the specific college, program, and AP score of the student. Each family should discuss these requirements with the colleges and with our College Counselor.

NOTE: Those tests above marked with an asterisk are administered as hybrid tests by the College Board. Students will answer multiple-choice questions digitally but free-response questions will be answered in a paper booklet. All other tests will be fully digital as of 2025.
Dual Credit
Our Dual Credit (DC) Program allows our students to take college-level courses through Camden County College. Our DC offerings extend beyond the AP classes (many of which are also available as Dual Credit) to a variety of other classes and disciplines. All current Dual Credit courses are designated by *DC next to the course name in our Course Catalog. A student’s grade in a DC course will be part of his college academic record via an official transcript from Camden County College and participation requires a fee of $150 for a three-credit course. Students who receive a grade of C (or a B in some courses) may receive college credit from the university or college they attend after graduation.
Dual Credit enrollment begins in December and runs through early March. Students will receive information from the course teacher at the start of the course. Additional information from Camden County College will come through an in-person meeting before registration begins. Families may enroll in Dual Credit courses directly with Camden Community College via the button below.
Application and Registration Form*Please note that not all colleges accept dual credit enrollments or AP scores for credit. Students and families should discuss this with their College Counselor when applying to specific universities.

Our son truly benefited from the Dual Credit Program at the Prep. He was able to take 12 college credits prior to graduating high school. He was able to transfer all of these credits to his university which allowed him to achieve his undergraduate degree in only 3 1/2 years! This was both a huge financial saving, as well as allowing him to be a more competitive job applicant in his field of data analytics.
