Eighth Grade Admission Process

BROTHERHOOD BEGINS.

St. Augustine Preparatory School’s Eighth Grade is an exciting academic opportunity the Prep began offering in the 2021-2022 academic year. Unique to the educational landscape of South Jersey, this initiative allows young men the advantage of starting their high school experience a year earlier. In a time when the academic and character development of young men has never been more essential, we are proud to say that after sixty-one years of serving the South Jersey community, the Prep continues to thrive, consistent with our mission: To Set Hearts on Fire with a Passionate Search for Truth, Unity, and Love.

Whether you are already familiar with our distinct offerings and programs or are just beginning to explore our institution, please know that we are readily available to assist you with any questions that may arise. Below, you will find information that may be helpful as you consider your son’s academic future.

A Values Based Curriculum.

With high school fast approaching, young men in Eighth Grade undergo a dynamic transformation, and St. Augustine Preparatory School is eager to partner with students and their families during this time of academic achievement and personal growth.

St. Augustine Prep’s Eighth-Grade Program is the perfect blend of academic rigor and character development within the context of a welcoming and safe campus life in order to develop empathetic young men who measure their decisions and actions through integrity and wisdom.

Consistent with every grade at St. Augustine Prep, we challenge our Eighth-Grade students to think critically, write and speak with clarity and conviction, and pursue academic excellence. At every turn, our students will have opportunities to participate in a variety of activities, explore new interests, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and learn healthy habits which will allow them to tackle the many questions of life – both big and small. Group meetings and personal mentorship allow for self-discovery and foster a sense of belonging within our established community of Hermit Brothers.
