Innovation & Experiential Learning Fund

This fund is to support the Prep’s vision to provide students with experiential learning opportunities that enhance traditional education through the integration of Augustinian Values with innovative, real-world opportunities and applications. Uses of this fund include, but are not limited to, co-curricular and academic initiatives with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship; state-of-the-art technology and equipment purchases; and staffing needs that enhance experiential learning. This fund also supports signature Prep programs such as Third Semester and Hermits Broadcasting.

Mr. Carmine C. Catalana IV ’76 P’07 and Mrs. Dana Catalana P’07 (member of the Prep Board of Directors) have committed a challenge gift on Hermits Day of Giving. When the Prep receives 59 gifts to the Innovation and Experiential Learning Fund, Mr. and Mrs. Catalana will release a $5,000 gift to the Fund! Mr. and Mrs. Catalana have also generously committed funds to start a DECA Club at the Prep this Fall. DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.

The John F. Scarpa Foundation has committed a gift to match the first $100,000 raised for this Fund.
