Posted February 10th, 2017

In our first installment of “We Carry the Fire”, we spotlight Frank Broomell, a 2005 graduate of St. Augustine Prep and a US Marine Corps Veteran, who has been an active public servant since his time in Richland.  After graduating from St. Augustine, Frank’s journey would take him to George Washington University in D.C., where he would earn degrees in International Affairs, Journalism, and Mass Communication.  He would then join the Marine Corps, serving two tours in Afghanistan before leaving active duty in 2013 as a First Lieutenant.

Frank then headed to Harvard, graduating from the Kennedy School of Government with a masters degree in Public Policy.  His impressive background would take him to Capitol Hill where he served as a Legislative Assistant to Rep. Annie Kuster, D-N.H. for just under a year, completing his tenure in July 2016.

Currently, Frank is a J.D. Candidate at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and lives in Philadelphia.  Periodically, Frank publishes articles in various publications concerning a variety of subjects related to public policy and service.  Below is one of Frank’s recent articles.   Keep up the impressive work Frank!
