St. Augustine Prep – Greater Philadelphia Alumni Chapter!

Hello Alumni…long time no see! Your St. Augustine Prep Alumni Leadership Team has been hard at work planning the past couple weeks as our signature events, Run for the Roses (May 6), the Class of 2017 Graduation Ceremony where we will honor the Class of 1967 (May 18), and the Father Steve Golf Tournament (June 14) are quickly approaching.
We wanted to keep you up to date on the latest alumni news that has our staff extremely excited! This past Monday, members of the Alumni Leadership team met with Class of 2003 graduate Chris Egan and Class of 2007 graduate Michael Hullings to discuss the development of St. Augustine Prep’s first ever geographic chapter for the Greater Philadelphia area. Chris and Michael are incredible ambassadors of the Prep and provide great examples for our current community as they have been successful in their journey after walking the halls of St. Augustine.
During the meeting the group discussed different ideas in which to raise Alumni engagement and expressed to the Alumni Leadership team that there is a large contingent of Hermits ready to join. It is truly humbling to know that so many of you still hold the Prep near to your hearts and that you are all so eager to give back to the St. Augustine community. Your love and determination is what drive us and will continue to motivate us to make sure you are all a integral part in the future of St. Augustine Prep.
We want to thank Chris and Michael for taking the time to meet with us and for providing us insight that will help in the development of the Greater Philadelphia Alumni Chapter (GPAC). Please see below for a list of dates that are upcoming Alumni events!
May 25 – Open Campus for Alumni – Alumni are invited to visit campus and reconnect! There will be an informal reception at Fazzolari’s (821 Harding Hwy, Buena, NJ 08310)
June 14 – Fr. Steve LaRosa Golf Tournament – Scotland Run
Mid-July – Tentatively scheduled gathering of interested alums to join the GPAC; Time and Place TBD
September 1 – St. Augustine Prep Football v. Malvern Prep at Villanova University – the official Launch of the Greater Philadelphia Alumni Chapter
