2012-2013 Annual Fund Kicks Off

Posted November 27th, 2012

The Office of Institutional Advancement has officially kicked-off the 2012-13 Annual Fund to over 4,250 alumni, parents, and grandparents.

“Each year we reach out to our Prep families asking for their financial support to help us make up the difference between what tuition covers and the actual cost of running the school,”  said David Zappariello, ’83, Executive Director of Institutional Advancement.  “I’m confident this year will be no different and our families will rise to the occasion and surprise us with their overwhelming generosity.”

Many believe annual giving is limited to writing a check with a monetary contribution, but there are several creative ways to secure tax benefits and establish a timeless legacy gift to St. Augustine Prep.

“Annuities, trusts and bequests (leaving St. Augustine Prep in your will) are some of the more common ways our donors have helped us reach our long-term financial commitments,” said Mr. Zappariello.

“The annual fund is an extremely important fundraising effort for St. Augustine Prep where we directly appeal to our families and friends to help us raise money for campus maintenance, professional development, operating expenses and tuition assistance,” said Fr. Donald Reilly, President.  “This year we provided over $1 million in tuition assistance.  It’s a commitment we’re very proud of and wish to continue to each and every year.  Your generosity will ensure our promise to continue to make a St. Augustine Prep education affordable to all those who want to be educated in the Augustinian traditions of Truth, Unity and Love.”
