Academic Honors

The Academic Office will be awarding Honors to students for this past semester’s grades at an upcoming Wednesday Mass. We will be weighting the GPA calculation as this is an internal award. We are currently working through the GPA calculations. When we complete the weighted GPA calculations, we will honor these students after a Wednesday Mass. More information about the date and time will be available in an upcoming Prep Talk article. We thank you for your patience. This is a new process and will take more time than normal.

Also, some students have not picked up their certificates for Headmaster’s Honors for the 2011-12 Academic year. These certificates are available in the Academic Office.

Please note that the Academic Office and College Guidance Office have decided to look at the past two years and retroactively award honors to students based on an internally weighted GPA. The reason for this decision is the benefit that it will have for our students on college résumé.
