Baseball Team Works with Special Needs League

On Saturday April 13th, the St. Augustine Prep Baseball Team traveled to North Vineland to offer their assistance with the Little League Challenger Division. The baseball program has partnered with this organization for the past 6 years; it has been a source of great pride and has instilled valuable life lessons. The Challenger Division offers an opportunity for children with physical handicaps and special needs to play baseball. There is music, an announcer and an enthusiastic crowd in attendance. The entire baseball program attends in full uniform and serves as the “buddies” for the kids on the field. The annual service project is clearly one of the highlights of the season.
