Campus Ministry Holds Lego Toy Drive

Posted May 7th, 2021

Exit as men to serve is a motto that is at the foundation of every proud Hermit Brother. These five words encapsulate the essence of a Hermit’s purpose as he develops during his four years at the Prep and beyond. As servant leadership is a hallmark of the Christian Gentleman, the students of St. Augustine Prep seek every opportunity to serve their communities.St. Augustine Prep Lego with Seal

From donating their time and talents to leading giving initiatives both on and off campus, students have found various ways to assist those who are in need. Their most recent effort is rooted in fun and involves an item that resonates with many of us and brings us back to our childhood. The Prep’s Campus Ministry team is working with our senior leaders to gather donations of used legos. They are accepting everything from a single block you found by painfully stepping on it on your floor or even that old tub in your basement that is overflowing with loose lego bricks. (They are NOT looking for new sets!)

This is a school-wide initiative that is open to the entire school community, especially our incoming Hermit Brothers who may participate in their first act of servant leadership! Reconnect with your childhood and find those old legos you’ve stored away. Go ahead and build one last lego masterpiece then pack them up and donate them to St. Augustine Prep for a great cause. The Campus Ministry team and senior leaders will be accepting lego donations through Thursday, May 20, your generosity will serve to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
