Caritas Project to Benefit Ronald McDonald House

Posted August 7th, 2012

Prep students Scott Babbitt (Class 2013) and John Musial (Class of 2013) will be hosting the “Mini Masters” miniature golf tournament and silent auction to benefit The Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey. The tournament will take place on August 18 at Medieval Fantasy Miniature Golf, located at 14th Street and the boardwalk in Ocean City N.J.

Three years ago Scott’s friend Justin was hospitalized for six months due to an undiagnosed illness. For four of those six months Justin was in a coma due to the constant seizures he was experiencing. After fighting through major brain surgery Justin survived and lives the life of a normal child. Throughout his stay in the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the Ronald McDonald house provided his family with a place to stay so they could be by his side. This whole emotional experience has inspired John and Scott to help other families cope with the traumatic experience of a seriously ill or injured child.

You can qualify for the tournament now through August 10 simply by submitting your best golf score card with your contact information. If you’re one of the top 72 players on the leader board on August 10, you will be notified via email that you are a finalist for the August 18 Tournament.

If you can help by making a financial contribution or donating an item for our silent auction, please contact Scott Babbitt at 609-675-3923. We will be glad to pick the items up.

The Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey is a 501(c)(3) corporation.  Checks should be made out to the RMH of SNJ, and mailed to Scott Babbitt c/o Medieval Fantasy Mini Golf, 1336 Boardwalk, Ocean City, NJ 08226.
