Posted October 9th, 2012

Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Newfield is the location for the 2012 Carve for The Cure Event on Saturday, October 20, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Purchase a pumpkin and carve it into your favorite jack-o-lantern.  Pumpkins can be reserved in advance for $10.00 or purchased at the event for $15.00. Click here for the Order Form to reserve your Pumpkins.

Please return completed Order Form and donation to Mr. Rizzo’s office or to Allan Weidman by Wednesday, October 17.  Make Checks payable to Alzheimer’s Association. Basic pumpkin carving tools and light refreshments will be provided.

Started in 2008, this annual event has raised money and awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease;  a disease that affects over 5.4 million older Americans.

This event is being held by Prep sophomore Allan Weidman and OLMA junior Sarah Pustizzi.  The event is in remembrance of Herbert L Bylone, their grandfather and father of Prep Baseball Coach Mike Bylone.

For additional information, contact Allan Weidman at Weidman.Allan@Hermits.org.
