Eagle Scouts Honored at Mass

Posted March 16th, 2012

On the occasion of honoring its two latest Eagle Scouts, St. Augustine Prep recognized the twelve Eagle Scouts among the student body after the school Mass celebrated on March 14.  The most recent students to achieve the highest rank of the Boys Scouts of America are seniors William Kelly and Victor Logan.

Only about five percent of all Boy Scouts attain the rank of Eagle Scout.  In order to do so, they must successfully progress through five earlier ranks; earn 21 merit badges; serve six months in a troop leadership position; plan, develop and give leadership to a service project; take part in a Scoutmaster conference; and successfully complete an Eagle Scout board of review.
