Hermits in the Headlines

The first page of the Sports section in the Friday, July 6 edition of the Press of Atlantic City featured three articles on St. Augustine Prep athletes. The headlining article was on the selection of two Prep graduates to Great Britain’s national basketball team (please click here to read the article). Another front page article, which recognized the local athletes named lacrosse all-Americans, included write-ups on Steve Pontrello (Class of 2012), Tommy O’Neill (Class of 2012), and Mike Sutton (Class of 2013). Three of the four local lacrosse all-Americans are from St. Augustine Prep (click here to read the article). The third article was written about the area athletes who will represent the United States at the world under-23 rowing championships. Ted Baumgardner (Class of 2009) is among those selected (click here to read the article).
