As the first half was winding down, Senior JohnPaul Mazza scored in the 35th minute. The Hermits played a strong first half finishing out the first 40 up 3-0. In the second half, the Hermits continued to put on a strong performance. In the 47th minute, EHT received a yellow card making the task of overcoming the Hermits’ lead that much more insurmountable. The second half was another strong performance by the Hermits. In the final two minutes of the final frame, Senior Brent Reidenbach scored a late insurance goal in the 79th minute. The final whistle blew and the game concluded, four on the board for the Hermits, and zero for EHT.

We asked Junior Alex Clark how he felt about the team’s win against EHT and his two early goals. “Team wins are always great, two goals against a big rival is nice to score, scoring two early goals felt good to start off the game” said Clark.

The Hermits will be moving on to the CAL Final where they will either play Cedar Creek or Mainland.  Stay tuned for updates from the CAL Final and more from the Hermits Athletics Internship Team!
