Phil’s Squad Wins 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

Congratulations to team “Phil’s Squad,” comprised of Julian Diaz, Brian Seward, Nate Seagul, and Phil Calavese, for winning this year’s 3 on 3 basketball championship.  Sponsored by the Interact Club, the tournament featured 21 teams of over 84 students.  Beginning on November 2, the tournament featured an array of spectacular shots and aggressive defensive stands, many of which have never been witnessed on the basketball court.

Proceeds from the tournament will be earmarked to purchase carnations for the 183 residents of the Bishop McCarthy Residence in Vineland – an annual Valentine’s Day event for the Interact club.

A special thanks to club members Vincent Silvanio, Blake Christy, and Blake Hina for their help in promoting the event, as well as Coach Fingerhut for supervising the games.
