Prep Parent to Receive Eagle Award from Ellison School

On February 9, the faculty, families, friends, and alumni of the Ellison School in Vineland will honor Cynthia Basolis-Koons (the mother of current Prep student Velton Koons, Class of 2013) with the presentation of Ellison’s highest award, the Eagle Award, at Scotland Run Golf Club.

The Eagle Award was created in 2009 as a part of the Ellison School’s 50th Anniversary. The award is considered a recognition of exemplary service with integrity. Mrs. Basolis-Koons serves Ellison in several capacity, most notably in her role as co-advisor of the Interact Club, in which role she has helped organize a myriad of service projects. In addition to her role at Ellison, Mrs. Basolis-Koons is also the Treasurer of the Austin Society at St. Augustine Prep.
