Prep Student Converts to Catholicism

Posted April 27th, 2012

On Saturday, April 7, St. Augustine Prep student Mick Smyth (Class of 2013) accepted the Catholic faith and received confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil Mass at St. Joan of Arc parish in Marlton, NJ. Baptized in a recognized Protestant church as a baby, Mick is now a member of the Catholic church. For his confirmation name, Mick chose the name Peter after his father and the first pope. His confirmation sponsor was Mr. Brendan Towell, a theology teacher here at the Prep. The Easter Vigil Mass during which Mick was confirmed was attended by several of his Hermit brothers.
