Quiz Bowl Attracts 140 Middle School Students to St. Augustine

On Monday, October 24, St. Augustine Prep sponsored the 4th Annual Quiz Bowl for area middle school students. The event allowed the brightest boys and girls in the area the opportunity to square off in a curriculum and trivia-based question and answer competition in a vast array of topics including Math, Science, Technology, History, Art, Music, Literature and Pop Culture.
Over 140 students participated from eleven different schools including Dennis Township, St. Mary Magdalen (Millville), Notre Dame (Landisville), St. Michael (Clayton), Assumption (Galloway), Folsom Elementary School, St. Vincent de Paul (Mays Landing), St. Mary of the Lakes (Medford), St. Mary’s (Vineland), Fernwood Avenue (EHT) and Alder Avenue (EHT).
Upon the completion of four rounds of questions, a pizza break and cheers from teachers, parents and friends, the top-three teams emerged.
Alder Avenue Middle School – First Place
St. Mary Magdalen – 1st Runner-up
Dennis Township – 2nd Runner-up
Congratulations for another job well done to Mr. Stephen Cappuccio who organized and acted as the master of ceremonies for the event.
