St. Augustine Prep Conducts First Ever New Parent Orientation Program

Parents and other family members play an important role in a student’s life at the Prep.  For that reason we welcomed the parents/guardians to our campus at our first Parent Orientation Program throughout the month of July.  This program, designed for parents/guardians whose sons are about to begin their education at the Prep, was an invaluable experience for over 200 families.

Presentations included talks by Fr. Donald F. Reilly, O.S.A., President, on the Prep mission statement and his vision for the community; Fr. Francis J., Horn, O.S.A, on the history of the Prep; the Academic Program by Mr. Kevin Burke, ’00  Dean of Academics; Student Life by Mr. Anthony Iaconelli, Dean of Student Leadership; and Mr. David Zappariello ’83, Executive Director of Institutional Advancement.  In addition, Mr. Steven Fabietti, Esq., ’89, Chair of the Development Committee and Mr. Dennis DiFlorio, Vice Chair and parent, shared numerous opportunities for Prep Parents to get involved.

The Prep plans to continue this program in the summer of 2013!  A special thank you to all who made the program a success.
