Thank You Message from the Tristan Mullen Fund

Posted February 5th, 2013

Team Tristan would like to thank the students, faculty and families of Saint Augustine’s Prep for their generous contribution to The Tristan Mullen Fund at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Through your efforts, over $1900.00 was raised through your Dress Down day on Monday, January 28. Congratulations!

Tristan’s Fund supports the mitochondrial research unit at CHOP. All monies raised go directly into research, and some of the money raised in previous years has already funded a successful research project aimed at identifying mitochondrial diseases and their cures. Mitochondrial research is in its infancy. There is a lot of work still to do.

Although Tristan does not have a specific diagnosis, the staff, doctors and researchers at CHOP have worked tirelessly over the years to support Trey and our family as we walk through this adventure. As a lasting legacy to their commitment and to Tristan’s tenacity, we have formed The Tristan Mullen Fun.

“Team Tristan” started as one person, then two and has now added the entire St. Augustine’s family to our ranks. We are so grateful for your thoughtfulness and your generosity. If you would like more information please go to tristanmullenfund.org. On behalf of Tristan and the entire Pippett/Mullen family, Thank You!
