University of Chicago Honors Mr. DeLuca

Posted September 28th, 2011

Mathematics teacher Mr. Thomas DeLuca was recently honored by the University of Chicago with its Outstanding Educator Award.  This distinguished award has existed for three decades and is determined from nominations received from incoming freshmen.  These students describe how they were inspired by teachers who have literally changed the course of their lives, who have taught them to re-imagine texts, to delve deeper into problem-solving, and to think beyond the borders of the classroom in pursuit of their own education.

Mr. DeLuca was nominated by Class of 2011 Prep grad Tyler Anderson.  Congratulations, Mr. DeLuca!
