Veterans’ Day Project Highlight

Posted November 22nd, 2011

Sophomore students in Mr. Blystone’s U.S. history class recently completed projects focusing on Veterans’ Day.  Robert Baron provided a unique insight by bringing in letters his uncle,  Pfc. Jerry Cirino, wrote from MACV (Military Assistance Command Vietnam)-Saigon in the fall of 1966 while serving in the Vietnam War.  The letters, sent to his family back in New Jersey, expressed how much he missed home and how the airbase where he worked was recently attacked by mortar fire.
